Brondby Cup 2009 would like to say thank you for this year’s tournament and we hope to see you again next year.

A big thank you to all the participating teams of this year’s Brondby Cup, each and all of you made this years Brondby Cup a memorable event.

We hope to see you again for next year's tournament that is to be held in the days of July 31st - August 5th 2010.

We are currently working on starting a Brondby Cup website up where all information about next year's Brondby Cup will be available. The website will be ready, approximately October 1st 2009.

The teams who participated in the tournament this year are automatically included on our mailing list, and these teams will automatically receive information about next year's tournament as soon as it is ready.

The program for this years opening ceremony, will be as followed:

At 15.00 the Heather Pibes and Drums of Copenhagen starts the march in from Brøndbyvester skole towards the Tjørnehøjskolen. Participants who are located at Nørregårdsskolen will be transported to Brøndbyvester skole by bus.

At 15.30 the Heather Pibes and Drums of Copenhagen arrives at Tjørnehøj skolen, where after they will continue the march towards Brøndby Stadium.

At 15.50 the march will arrive at Brøndby Stadium, pitch 2, where the mayor of Brøndby will hold his opening speech.

At 16.30 Brøndbys ladies will play at pitch 2 against Birkirkara from Malta in the qualification for Womens Champions League. Brøndby Cup participants has free entrance.

Parallel to the Brøndby Cup, Brøndby IF is also hosting a qualifying tournament for the women's Champions League.

Brøndby’s Womens-League team finished second in the 3F-League, and therefore the club applied to UEFA for holding the qualification tournament at home, and this application was favourably received by UEFA, and therefore awarded Brøndby IF to host this tournament.

This means that Brøndby IF will offer the participating teams in the Brøndby Cup, the opportunity to experience international women's football at close hand.

Despite of the international financial crisis, Brøndby Cup, has managed to get participants from Austria, England, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and of course, Danish Teams.

This year’s deadline for registration, Friday May 15th, has been earlier than previously, so the Brøndby Cup has decided to give the teams 3 weeks more to register, so the new deadline will be, Friday June 5th.

Now that we have reached a New Year, and have come in to 2009, Brøndby Cup wants to wish all a very happy New Year with gratitude for the cooperation in 2008 and hopes for continued good cooperation with Brøndby Cup in 2009.

The Crew behind Brøndby Cup will do everything to make the Brøndby Cup again this year an unforgettable experience for both the many active young people as their leaders and supporters who follow the many teams to Brøndby in the days of August the 1st to August the 6th.
